Always wear the mask over your nose and mouth and secure it under your chin. Your mask should fit snugly against the sides of your face. Stay at least 6 feet away Remember that people without symptoms may be able to spread COVID-19 or flu. Staying 6 feet (about 2 arm lengths) from others, who don’t reside with you, is especially important for people who are at higher risk of getting very sick. Wash your hands Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Keep hand sanitizer with you and use it when you are unable to wash your hands. Use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol for extra caution. Consider other Thanksgiving Activities While you might not be able to gather, consider hosting a virtual Thanksgiving dinner or activity to interact with those who are unable to gather. Try sharing recipes that are new to the table or share old memories with one another. Consider playing a game together or watch sporting events together. Shopping sales online & with family can remind you of the days spent together flipping through ads and catalogs together. Arrive In A Brand New Kia!

Bad Driving Habits To Knock! Details Inside! | Albany, NY

You’re human and that means making mistakes and picking up bad habits is natural. But when it comes to driving and bad habits, it can mean bad things. This week we have a list of bad habits to quit this October and ensure you’re staying safe behind the wheel. Check out those details below and if you’re ready to upgrade to a brand new Kia this month, you know where to find us! Hurry in for great deals on fan-favorite models! Failing to signal. It's important to let other drivers and pedestrians know your next move so they can slow down and accommodate. We recommend signaling at least 100 feet in advance. Riding the brakes. Riding your brakes can cause excess strain on your brakes. Keep your foot off the brake and only use when/ if necessary. Rolling through stop signs. We know this is a habit many struggle with but to ensure everyone’s safety, it’s important to come to a complete stop at any and every intersection you approach. Slowing down to look at crashes or construction. Rubbernecking is not only dangerous but can contribute to a chain reaction of slowed traffic and potential crashes. Keep your eyes on the road ahead of you to ensure you’re following road rules or police directions. Sudden stops. Always be on alert and anticipate when you might need to stop. Sudden stops will create excess wear on brake pads. Fast starts. Accelerate at a slow smooth rate, peeling away uses excess gas, and may be putting a strain on the key components of your engine. Running yellow or red lights. Doing so can increase your chance of a car crash. If the light turns yellow before you reach the intersection, it's best not to risk it and wait for the next green light. Disregarding the speed limit. While speed limits vary by state and are typically posted, we recommend using the following ranges as a general guide if you don't see a posted speed limit: Residential area: 15-30 mph Undivided road (rural): 40-55 mph Divided road (rural): 55-70 mph Freeway: 55-65 mph Upgrade Into A New Kia Today!

Service Tips To Prepare For Fall! | Albany, NY

Seasons are changing here in Albany, NY and it’s time to stop in to see our team for a little TLC service to help you make it through the fall season. Below is a list of services to pay extra attention to before summer ends and we’re headed to cold temperatures! Take a look below and be sure to hurry on down to see our team for a little TLC service right here at your favorite Kia dealership right here in Albany! Car Battery With the changes of seasons coming quickly, it’s a great time to stop in to see our team for a diagnostic testing to ensure that your battery is healthy and ready to take on the winter temperatures. Plus, ask to have your cables and terminals checked for corrosion and properly tightened. Winter is known for killing batteries, stop in, and let’s have your battery properly maintenanced before the change of seasons! Headlights As our cars age, our headlights tend to become cloudy or even hazy, especially on vehicles that are continuously parked outside in the elements. While the days get shorter, we will be using our headlights much more these days which means it’s very important to ensure that your headlights are the brightest they could possibly be. Whether it’s a headlight conditioning, replacement of the bulbs, or replacing your headlights altogether, our team can assist you with all of your needs. Tires Responsible driving all starts at the tires. Monthly tread inspections can help you stay on top of when it’s time to replace your tires. If you have noticed that your tires are less than ⅛-inch of tread, then it’s time to upgrade. While all-season tires might be a cheaper option up front, choosing a set for both summer and winter, offers more well-rounded performance. Stop in to see our team and let us help you choose the right tires for your vehicle! Wipers Did you know that it’s a great option to replace your wipers every six months? Typically, your wipers should be replaced twice a year to ensure top performance. Before the fall season, it’s a great option to upgrade those wipers and choose a pair that are specifically designed for winter weather as we are quickly heading that way. Also, if you’re looking to extend the lifespan of your wipers, we encourage you to clean them with a paper towel and glass cleaner each time you stop to get gas. Four Tips For A Better, Easier Test Drive! | Albany, NY

We know these last few months have been tough. And now that we’re finally getting out and about, it’s time to refresh on some helpful tips when it comes time to upgrade into a brand new vehicle. Below is a list of a few helpful tips to utilize when you stop in to see our team this summer. We have over 500 new Kia models with great offers waiting for you, we guarantee you won’t leave without a new Kia! Hurry on down to take a test drive and let our team help you upgrade into a new vehicle this August! Understanding what the test drive is The #1 goal of a test drive is to see if the vehicle is a good fit for you and your family. While spending a lot of money on a new vehicle, it’s important to ensure that the vehicle you’re test driving is really the right one and worth the money you’re going to spend. Take your time with the vehicle, go over all of the features, and don’t be pressured into purchasing something you don’t love through and through. Listen to the experts While your opinion matters most, there is also a time and place to listen to the car experts when it comes to features like comfort, convenience, power, etc. Car reviews can be a great source of information and can offer great insight that you perhaps didn’t notice during your test drive. Drive the vehicle as if you own it One mistake many new car buyers make is not driving the vehicle on your daily commute. We encourage you to take advantage of this time by driving back roads, busy streets, or highways if they are typically in your daily commute. This will help you get a better feel for how the ride will be once you purchase the vehicle. Don’t let shiny features blind you Oftentimes, buyers are blinded by specific features or price points. Don’t let this be you. Take all of the features into consideration before making a final decision. It’s a great idea to make a list of features that you’re looking for in a vehicle and check them off as you go. Schedule Your Test Drive Here!

Keeping Your Pets Safe This Summer | Albany, NY

Things are heating up here in Albany and if you’re planning to travel this summer with your best pal, it’s important to know a few things. What are those things, you might be thinking. Don’t stress, this week we have listed out a few travel tips to ensure a safe and smooth travel experience. Check it out below and if you’re ready to upgrade into a new Kia before the trip or you’re in need of service, stop in today or schedule your appointment online today! Never leave your pet alone in the vehicle. Never. Ever. Repeat, never ever leave your pet alone in your vehicle. When traveling, plan your bathroom stops in dog-friendly places like pet stores. Make sure your vehicle is ready for the trip. Whether you just stopped in to have service or it’s been some time, make sure that everything seems to be in proper working order. The last thing you need is to be dealing with a breakdown or broken AC along the way. Start early in the day. While summer temperatures are high in the mornings too, it’s a great idea to start the day early while temperatures are at their lowest. Take your pet for a walk or a little exercise while the temperatures are still bearable. Freeze water. Freezing your water the night before offers cooler drinks the next day. While we recommend freezing two water bottles for you and your pet, we also recommend keeping a few bottles that are not frozen. And we recommend packing twice as much water as you think you’ll need - a good rule of thumb. Offer water often. Sometimes when traveling we forget to take a drink of water and if we’re forgetting, so is our pet. So it’s important to offer water often to ensure they are staying hydrated throughout the day. Also, grab a collapsible water bowl, they offer convenience and are easy to clean. Beware of the pavement. When temperatures are climbing, the asphalt temperature is hot as well. When you stop to hop out for a potty break or to stretch the legs, look for shady areas with grass. This will keep your pet from burning their paws. If you can’t find a grassy area, spread a towel on the ground to protect their paws while stretching or pour some water on the ground to cool it off. Watch out for signs of heat stress. Heat exhaustion and heat stroke are very dangerous conditions that even our pets can suffer from. Look out for lethargy, vomiting, agitation, uncontrollable panting, foaming at the mouth, and tongue and gums that turn from red to blue to gray. And always consult your veterinarian before traveling with your pet. Schedule A Test Drive Today!

Summer Service Tips To Ensure A Healthy Kia! | Albany, NY

Happy July! Can you believe that this month is almost gone and we’re almost into our last month of summer?! We surely can’t believe it - time is flying! While you can do most of these services at home, we encourage you to stop in to see our team and let us get your vehicle ready. Ready to learn about those summer service tips? Check it out below! 5 Summer Services: Check your coolant system When temperatures are rising, it’s important to keep cool. Ourselves and our vehicles. In addition to checking up on the coolant fluid levels, it’s important to check the state of the hoses and the coolant reservoir. Any leaks should be addressed as soon as possible. And hoses should be firm. Windshield wipers While it is summer, it is bound to rain at a point to help cool things off. That means you need a good set of wipers that will keep excess water off your windshield and your vision clear. A good habit to start is checking on your wipers every time you stop for gas or change them every oil change. Engine belts Over time your engine belt can become loose, deteriorate, and start to squeal. It’s important to have your engine belt checked to ensure there are no cracks, missing pieces, and that there is the right amount of tension. Tires While you should be checking your tires year-round, summer is a great time to ensure that tire pressure levels are correct and you still have a good amount of tread still. Summer is the season of road trips, so it’s important to keep up to date with your tires. Plus, be sure to check up on your spare tire as well. Air Filters Winter is known for clogging your windshield-washer nozzle and your car’s air filters. So, when summer hits, it’s important to make sure these areas are clean and ready to go. Sometimes you can change filters yourself but if you’re not sure, ask a technician! Schedule Your Service Here!
