The 2017 Kia Forte is expected to be arriving to dealerships sometime later this summer and we are now excited to tell our customers that this vehicle has earned a Five-Star Overall Safety Rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
This is the highest-possible rating that a vehicle can earn from the NHTSA and results are based on the vehicle’s performance in each of their crashworthiness tests. The 2017 Kia Forte earned this top rating by receiving four stars in the front and rollover crash tests and five stars in the side crash test.
The 2017 Kia Forte is equipped with a number of standard safety features that include electronic stability control, six airbags, traction control, antilock brakes, and brake assist. A few of the options safety features available for this model include a blind-spot detection system, lane keeping assist, autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and rear cross-traffic alert.
