New Kia Optima Commercial Features Blake Griffin

While Blake Griffin might be better known as an NBA star for the Los Angeles Clippers, at Destination Kia we love him as the Kia spokesperson! Griffin is back in a new commercial called “Chess” which showcases the Next-Generation 2016 Kia Optima.

In this spot, a new driver of the 2016 Kia Optima finds himself in a cloudy dreamlike place called “The Zone,” where Blake Griffin goes when he’s competing in a basketball game. Griffin is playing on a life-sized chess board, explaining to the Optima driver that a basketball game is a lot like a game of chess, and his opponents are the pawns. When you get behind the wheel of the new Optima and get to experience its comfortable and spacious cabin, you’ll end up in the zone too!
