Kia Motors America Announces April Sales

April sales results have been released by Kia Motors America and the brand seems to be building off the momentum of their best first-quarter results ever with a total of 56,508 units sold for the month which is a 6.1 percent increase over sales from April of 2015.

“Economic indicators remained positive, powering Kia to one of the strongest performances in company history,” said Michael Sprague, chief operating officer and EVP, KMA. “As a recognized leader in design, quality and technology, our call to consumers to ‘Discover the New Kia’ is paying off as dealers report an influx of customers who are considering Kia for the first time.”

Sales of the Sportage showed the most significant change for the month with a 78.9 percent increase over last year to reach 7,645 units sold for the month. This impressive results can be largely attributed to the recent release of the all-new 2017 Sportage.

Additional April Highlights:

Sales of the Forte increased 35.6 percent to reach 9,740 units
Sales of the Sorento increased 5.6 percent to reach 10,353 units
Sales of the Soul increased to reach 11,517 units
Sales of the Rio reached 2,523 units
Sales of the Cadenza reached 533 units
