AutoPacific Recognizes Kia Optima & Sedona

Not one, but two vehicles from Kia Motors America (KMA) were named the winners of their segments in the 2016 Ideal Vehicle Awards (IVA) from AutoPacific. The 2016 Optima was selected as the winner in the midsize car category while the 2016 Sedona was selected as the winner in the minivan category.

“We are proud that our vehicles have exceeded the expectations of our customers and that AutoPacific has recognized the Optima and Sedona for the second time this summer with the Ideal Vehicle Awards,” said Orth Hedrick, vice president of product planning, Kia Motors America. “Kia is constantly evolving and finding ways to suit the needs and wants of our customers. We are thrilled to see the incredibly high level of satisfaction our customers are experiencing with our vehicles.”

The IVAs from AutoPacific are conducted based on the responses from new vehicle owners who evaluate their overall satisfaction and opinions of their vehicles after the first 90 days of ownership. For this year’s awards more than 65,000 owners of new 2015 and 2016 vehicles from a variety of manufacturers participated in the survey. The owners evaluated their vehicles within 15 key categories such as safety features, ride and handling, technology, interior storage, and power and acceleration.
