Kia Releases “Speech” Advertisement for 2015 Optima
The third video in the Blake Griffin/2015 Kia Optima series has been released by Kia Motors America. Over the past few months, the brand has been slowly releasing a series of new advertisements featuring the all-new model and the NBA star that offer a look at the impressive Optima with a humorous twist. In each of the previous spots, Griffin is playing an action movie hero that frustrates his director by entering the scene in a 2015 Kia Optima rather than the mode of transportation he is scripted to be using. This would not be so bad except that the setting of each film is not at all conducive to his character driving a car.
In the first spot, the movie was set in the old west and in the second spot, he was playing a fighter pilot that was supposed to be taking off from an aircraft carrier in the middle of the ocean. In this latest spot, “Speech” he is playing a gladiator in Ancient Rome who is supposed to be charging into battle on horseback. In all three spots, Griffin proceeds to point out some of the 2015 Optima’s most impressive features in order to convey why this vehicle is actually perfect for the scene they are shooting.

Kia “The Perfect Getaway” Series
Kia Motors America has launched a new campaign for the 2016 Sorento entitled “The Perfect Getaway”. The inspiration for this campaign came from the brand’s 2015 Super Bowl Commercial with the same name starring action movie hero Pierce Brosnan. For this new campaign, the brand will launch a six-episode series that features various individuals taking place in some spontaneous adventures. The campaign has been designed to not only promote the all-new model but to also inspire viewers to let loose more often.
“This is the first time Kia has partnered with Yahoo for custom video content and is an excellent opportunity to connect with action-adventure-minded consumers by showcasing the refined and capable 2016 Sorento,” said Tim Chaney, vice president of marketing communications, Kia Motors America. “The effort expands upon Kia’s ’The Perfect Getaway’ campaign featuring the Sorento in a variety of situations that outdoor enthusiasts can appreciate.”
The campaign originally started out in January and is run through the Kia Yahoo page. Here we have provided the first three videos in the series, be sure to check back for the remaining three “Perfect Getaway” adventures.

Vincentric Awards Kia Soul EV
Vincentric has named the 2015 Kia Soul EV as a 2015 ‘Best Value in America” winner in the Electric/Plug-in Hybrid vehicle category. The Vincentric awards are based on analysis conducted by the company on each new vehicle that is currently available in the U.S.

Kia Expands Soul-EV Availability in U.S.
Kia Motors America (KMA) has announced that it will be expanding the availability of the SOUL EV to an additional five states over the next year. Currently this all-new electric model is only available in California, but because of the successful sales of the model, the brand has now chosen to extend its availability into Georgia, Texas, Oregon, Washington and Hawaii.
Throughout each of the five states, select dealerships will be chosen to sell the EV models. The locations of these dealerships will be announced closer to the actual release date with more locations becoming available early next year.
“From the inception of the Soul EV program, Kia’s sales strategy has been progressive and pragmatic,” said Orth Hedrick, vice president of product planning, KMA. “With the level of demand and supporting infrastructure in the state, California was a natural place to start, but we’ve been carefully studying other markets. Between consumer reaction to the Soul EV and growing infrastructure programs in these five states, this is a logical – and exciting – next step in our rollout plan.”

2015 Kia Optima Research & Review Page Released

The 2015 Kia Optima comes in five trims, the LX, EX, SX, SX Turbo and the Limited.
