Which midsize crossover do you think could hold more jelly beans, the 2016 Kia Soul ot the Honda Fit? We know that this may sound like a weird question, but it was in fact the subject of a new advertisement that was recently released by Kia. In this new spot, we see a Soul and Fit, each decorated in a white exterior color sitting right next to each other inside a testing facility. The engineers then proceed to begin pouring thousands of jelly beans from a large tube through the sunroof of each vehicle. As the jellybeans pour, the Honda Fit quickly fills up, but the Soul still has room for more thanks to its spacious interior that offers more than 10.6 cubic feet of more space than the Fit.

New Kia Optima Commercial Features Blake Griffin
While Blake Griffin might be better known as an NBA star for the Los Angeles Clippers, at Destination Kia we love him as the Kia spokesperson! Griffin is back in a new commercial called “Chess” which showcases the Next-Generation 2016 Kia Optima.
In this spot, a new driver of the 2016 Kia Optima finds himself in a cloudy dreamlike place called “The Zone,” where Blake Griffin goes when he’s competing in a basketball game. Griffin is playing on a life-sized chess board, explaining to the Optima driver that a basketball game is a lot like a game of chess, and his opponents are the pawns. When you get behind the wheel of the new Optima and get to experience its comfortable and spacious cabin, you’ll end up in the zone too!

2017 Kia Sportage is a Top Safety Pick Plus
The 2017 Kia Sportage has received the highest recognition possible from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) as a Top Safety Pick Plus. This prestigious award exemplifies Kia’s commitment to furthering and improving safety in their vehicles, especially after IIHS reconstructed their testing parameters, making it more difficult to achieve this rating. IIHS now requires every vehicle to earn at least a “good” in five tests including moderate overlap front, small overlap front, roof strength, side impact, and head restraints. Additionally, they also must achieve at least an “advanced” rating for front crash prevention.

Kia Motors America announced a further improvement to their luxury vehicle, the 2016 Kia K900 by adding UVO Luxury Services, the advanced UVO infotainment and telematics system. This will be exclusive to the K900 and will be powered by Verizon LTE to include features and functions like Google® search, remote vehicle command and control, and dealership appointment system. Owners can enjoy these features at no cost for the first five years of ownership.
K900 drivers can also now download the UVO Luxury Services app on iTunes® or GooglePlay™ so they can communicate directly with their vehicle for features like remote start/stop, remote lock/unlock, and remote cabin temperature .

The Highest Possible safety rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) is the Top Safety Pick Plus rating which has just been presented to the 2016 Kia Optima. A white 2016 Kia Sorento SXL recently became the two millionth vehicle to roll off the assembly line at the Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia, Inc. (KMMG) in West Point, Georgia. This plant first began mass producing Kia vehicles on November 16, 2009 and in just over six years the plant has now come to be responsible for the production of over 40 percent of Kia models that are sold in the U.S. Additionally, this plant has led to the creation of over 15,000 jobs in West Point. They were even rated in the top five among vehicle assembly plants in the recent J.D. Power’ Initial Quality Study – their highest ranking ever.

LPGA Kia Classic Returns for Seventh Year
The family-friendly tournament, LPGA Kia Classic kicks off today at the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort in Carlsbad, California for the seventh consecutive year. Here, 144 players from around the world will compete for $1.7 million and a new Kia K900 luxury sedan as they are transported around in Kia vehicles on the challenging par-72 course. Cristie Kerr, last year’s defending champ, will look to defend her title.
This tournament will also offer plenty of fun activities for golf fans of any age, like scavenger hunts and player autographs sessions. Not to mention, admission is free for active military and their families and children under 17! A portion of every ticket sold will be donated to Kia’s new philanthropic partner, Hire Heroes USA, a non-profit organization that helps veterans transition to the civilian workplace.

Kia Announces Partnership With Hire Heroes USA
The philanthropic efforts of Kia Motors America (KMA) have been expanded even further through a new partnership with Hire Heroes USA. This organization is a non-profit that provides support to military veterans in order to help them transition into civilian life. The organization provides career coaching services in order to help the veterans find a way to use the skills they learned in their military training and find a way to put them to good use in a new career.
Hire Heroes USA consists of teams of Veteran Transition Specialists who are in seven different locations throughout the U.S. and they currently assist in the training of more than 300 military members who are transitioning from active status to civilian life. The majority of the training is accomplished through online and telephone one-on-one coaching with a coach to help them learn the best way to make success out of their military skills.
“Kia is grateful to the brave men and women who have served our country, and we are proud to partner with Hire Heroes USA in an effort to empower military veterans and their families,” said Tim Chaney, vice president, marketing communications KMA. “Naming Hire Heroes USA the official charity partner of the 2016 LPGA Kia Classic will help raise awareness for the important career services they provide to veterans and their spouses, and we hope through this partnership to count some of those heroes as part of the Kia team in the near future.”
As part of this new partnership, KMA has made a $25,000 donation and named Hire Heroes USA the official charity partner of the 2016 LPGA Kia Classic. As a result, a portion of the proceeds from the ticket sales of the event will be donated to the organization.
